Cece I have to agree with you and you stated it very eloquently!!! BTW just read on the JAG Yahoo list that DB visited the Queen Mary Ship that they were filming the nurses episode on. He made a decision to have less of CB in the last 4 episodes than originally planned due to her getting so tired so easily, etc. Anyway we better hope JAG is renewed if we want to see anything transpire between our Harm and Mac!!! (NT) -- CindyB, 00:55:12 12/19/02 Thu

Wow, what a hot post, Cec!!! LOL I do agree with your assessment of Mac. She was very obvious. Harm wasn't so obvious. There was another reason Harm wanted to be back for Christmas Eve. He always goes to the wall. That ritual he has been doing for a long time. This time he went before the party with Adm. Boone. Yes, he did want to see Mac, but IMO she's a part and yes, probably the biggest part of his JAG family. As for that smile, OMG, if he smiled at me like that, I'd faint. As it was, seeing him do it on tv, the RDOM had to get the spatula to scrape me off the screen. (NT) -- judi, 01:37:44 12/19/02 Thu

My romantic little heart agrees with you, Cece. I love the line about wistful intentions-- those are the things that keep me hanging on too. I don't think my interpretation of the H/M scenes are a product of wishful thinking. I have been guilty at times of trying to see something that is not there but this time I think I'm seeing exactly what I was told I would see-- Harm and Mac growing closer. I know the story line for the end of the season has been changed but I don't think that negates the intentions of the writers in these episode to show their growing closeness. Really great post, Cece! (NT) -- manette-- a thrill by proxy seeker from way back, 01:56:41 12/19/02 Thu

Bow before your audience,Cece. We're raising the roof for you and our Webbie cyberflowers.lololol! At work, Im left out because many are Soprano and Alias fans but if the topic switches to Jag,they're not jumping up and down over the case but shameless gushing about men in dresswhites etc...Harm is hot,so is Mac etc....they even made a pact with me to page and email them so they can all watch Jag when Harm and Mac finally hookup. (NT) -- Josie, 02:43:21 12/19/02 Thu

Let me also add that there's a reason why they put all these Harm and Mac hidden messages, we may not be all experts on morris codes etc....but the fact is,IT IS THERE. They are building the suspense, think about it, if Harm says I love you Mac next ep.some may love it,yet for some the thrill is gone, as for less Mac in the 4 story arc, duh, its too much for CB to do Alias stunts in her condition, upside is that maybe she goes MIA early then maybe we'll see an early angstville Harm and commando Harm or 007Harm. (NT) -- Josie, 02:49:12 12/19/02 Thu

My early bet is that instead of Mac really 'involved' in the op, she goes missing/gets seriously hurt--like in a coma--early on, and we have Webb and Gunny involved, maybe at first trying to cover up til they get a handle on it. Harm finally finds out and goes totally apes#*t, to either a) find her or b) get the guys that hurt her. I betting a and we only see a captive Mac somewhere for most of those eps. Can't blame her--or TPTB--14/16 hour days and 'action' sequences cannot be good for her or the baby. (NT) -- CM>^.,.^< 'Providence' did the coma thing with Melina Kanakorides a few years ago for the same reason., 08:33:40 12/19/02 Thu

What a great post, Cece. It's certainly not "shipper slop" to me. (that's my department) I actually wrote an e-mail to Kip once trying to define what it is that would sustain us shippers as he endure another DPB winter, and I only wish I could have said it so well. What we need is the "possibility." We need to have "the looks," as you say. That dinner scene the other night was wonderful. (At least, I loved it.) It was all there in the little touches everyone has mentioned and all the ones we see alone. Great post, Cece. Great post. (NT) -- Dancer, 03:28:41 12/19/02 Thu

Yup, Cec, Char, Skip, Meat-tray Mistress et al, ITA. We need the sweet lovey stuff before we get to anything else. I rewatched the ep where they both go to visit Bud at the house--Harm kisses Harriet, Mac kisses Bud, they stand there and (figuratively) are blushing and stammering 12year old's with each other. If there wasn't 'something' else there, some spark at least, they would be FAR more comfortable. INSIDE -- CM>^.,.^<, 07:52:47 12/19/02 Thu
Bummed is an understatement--I'd have to tar and feather TPTB with every script page from Lifeline! He dragged his butt and played mind games for too long. Maybe he needs a konk on the noggin like Harm to see it like it should be! (NT) -- CharS--who should be wrappin etc, etc, etc, instead of rappin!, 10:29:07 12/19/02 Thu

Cece, what an awesome post! And it will never be shipper slop! But, I love the sheer romance of it all--and it doesn't have to be suck your face off kinda stuff either. Romance is so much more than the physical display of love--i.e. sex. The nonverbal--looks, body language--are the strongest visuals of attraction. In H & M's case, the nonverbals cues we see have been subtle--now these subtleties (?sp) have blossomed into a more intense body language that speaks to deeper feelings. Romance is more than words (NT) -- CharS, 05:42:05 12/19/02 Thu

AND don't get me wrong---I wanna see Harm suck Mac's face off but until DPB stops playing Disney, I will take this kind of romance rather than the snippy crap anyday! (NT) -- CharS, 06:30:11 12/19/02 Thu

Cece - beautifully said! And CharS, ITA that DPB is "playing Disney!" that's one reason why I liked the pilot so much - more racy! (NT) -- Chris, 07:10:35 12/19/02 Thu

Cece, you certainly don't write "shipper slop". Your interpretation of what you are seeing is romantic and you, and others, build a good case for what you see. I just don't intrepret what I see in the same way. Going point by point to disagree with your view (and the others) would, IMHO, just be argumentative on my part, which I certainly wouldn't mean to do. Suffice to say, while I value all of the intelligent and articulate H & M romantic advocates views, I respectfully disagree. We do get some very good discussions out of our differences, JMO. WHOA! A Cece post! This is FABULOUS, Bunny! Thanks! (NT) -- Luoodles leaving now to write those cookies and bake them cards!!, 09:35:03 12/19/02 Thu

Agree, agree, agree. The gazes between Harm and Mac made me shiver. Mac's awareness of his missing wings was immediate; she knows her man well. Perhaps gentle footsies under the table added to their already unbreakable connection? One can hope. (NT) -- Xena, 10:07:17 12/19/02 Thu

Hi Everyone - I am a Lurker here and love this board. I do post once in awhile. I had to write and say thank you CeCe for your thoughts. I agree whole heartedly. I read Kip's notes this AM. It has cheered me up to read your thoughts and the other posters regarding Harm and Mac. I love JAG in its entirety, but, as a shipper, I do hope the rest of the season will give us some great moments. (NT) -- KAL, 10:12:54 12/19/02 Thu

Wonderful post, Cec. I was wondering if I was the only one who rewound the dinner scene to watch the 30 seconds from Harm walking in the door to the look he and Mac shared. Sigh, if only you and Dancer (um, and maybe Ecec and Dracner) could write the episodes... (NT) -- JellO (thanks for keeping the shipper-spirits high), 17:28:54 12/19/02 Thu
