What It's About

As Harm tries to contact Mac aboard the Guadalcanal, the newly sea borne JAG must deal with the case of a Marine Major who may have put his men in danger during an exercise causing the death of one Marine. Meanwhile, A.J.'s goddaughter becomes his problem when she runs away from home while her mother is on duty � as the Captain of a Navy destroyer.

Reasons to Watch � Harm in khakis. Gunny in BDUs with a light gloss of perspiration. While the case itself is interesting, the main attraction here is the atmosphere surrounding the court martial and the spotlight on the two attorneys. Close observers may also recognize the accused as the same actor who played "Yankee" in a season 3 episode called "Vanished."

Reasons to Tape � This episode was the third one aired in season 7 and only the second one since "Adrift II." That should be a clue. The tension level between Harm and Mac is high, and this episode features two major "moments" that remain unresolved to this day. Shippers should have this one in their library to consult whenever they need reminding. LOL! It is also the second ep in the arc that sought to rebuild Mac's reputation as a "kick-a**" Marine after her simpering days with Brumby.

For newbies, one point of interest might be the date stamp given at the beginning and mid-point of this episode. Although produced prior to Sept. 11, 2001, this ep was shown after the tragic events of that day unfolded. The date stamp was the producers' way of trying to maintain their context without disrespecting the new reality.
