Melissa: So we gon' take your car Elice, right?
Elice: Yea. Cuz this summer we don't have to ride wit the parents.
Kip: I'm surprised your mama trusted you wit the car this summer.
Elice: Well I paid my dues. My mama believed I earned the car for the summer and I sho' as hell believe I do.
Shy: And we sho' as hell appreciate whatever you did to get the car.
Kip: Yep. Our first trip with out parents! Thank God!
(^the rest of the girls agree with an Amen or Halleujah^)
Melissa: Well if we wanna make it to Cali in two weeks, we better get crackalackin'.
Shy: We sho' better.

*(^In the front yard of Melissa's house^)*
Marie and Elice's brother, Terrance are chasing each other.
(^They are best friends^)

Marie: (Marie teasing Terry) You can't get me. You can't get me.
Terry: Yes I can.
(^Terry gets closer and touches her^)
Terry: Now. I got you!
Marie: (out of breath) So. I don't wanna play no mo'. Let's go see what our sisters doin'.
Terry: (out of breath too) Ok, I'm tired anyway.
(^they go in the house to the kitchen^)(Lisa is washing dishes^)
Marie: Hey mama.
Lisa: Hey baby. Yall have fun outside?
Both Marie and Terry: Yes Maam.
Lisa: Yall hungry?
Both Marie and Terry: No Maam.
Lisa: Ok. Well, Marie tell your sister don't forget that the suitcases are in my closet and not in Keshun's room, cuz he leaving for college.
Marie: Ok. (she said dissappointedly, becuase she wants to go on the trip with her sister) Mama. (she said sadly with her puppy dog eyes.)
Lisa: (knowing what she was going to say already)Marie-Now we already went over this before. This trip is for Melissa and her friends. Maybe you can go next time, and besides you can't leave Terry by hisself. He'll miss you too much. Ain't that right Terry?
Terry: Yes maam.
Lisa: See
Marie: (whining) But mama.
Lisa: You better quit whining! Now go tell your sister what I said.
(Marie stomps out)
Marie: Maann!!
Lisa: Aye! Quit that stomping!
(the stomping stops)
(^Marie and Terry goes up stairs to Melissa's room. Both of them hear laughter coming out the room before they there.
Marie: What yall laughin' at?
(Everybody stops laughing because they didn't want Marie to know that they were teasing Shy because she has a crush on Keshun and if Marie found out she would tell Keshun.)(But finally Melissa says..)
Melissa: We was laughing about that time when you fell last week.
Marie: Maann, that wasn't funny!
(Melissa, Kip, Shy, and Elice says fake laughing...)
All: Yes it was.
Marie: But anyway mama said get them suitcases out of her closet.
Melissa: Ok.
(Marie and Terry is still standing there just starring at the girls.)
Melissa: (looking confused) Well is there anything I can help you with?
Marie: No. (with an attitude.) Maann, come on Terry.
(Marie and Terry walks out.)
Kip: Gurl your sister is really going to miss you.
Melissa: Yep. I know, but that's my sweet heart even though she gets on my nerves. But on the other hand-Elice your brother ain't even thinkin' 'bout you.
Elice: Gurl I can't wait to leave that house of hell. No nagging or pestering for a while. Well anyway what we got so far?
Melissa: (writing) Ok. We gon' leave at 2:00 p.m. on Monday and we should end up in Los Angeles about 8:00 p.m. And when we get to Elice's uncle's house we gon' go to sleep.
(Shy interupts)
Shy: Go to sleep?(looking confused)
Melissa, Kip, and Elice: Yea, go to sleep.
Elice: We gon' be tired.
Shy: Well, I ain't.
Elice: Yea, that's because you ain't got to drive!.
Kip: Yea, we do! We gotta drive in shifts.
Melissa: Uhh.. Shy, you gon' be up by yourself.
Elice: Well, she might not. My cousin Adrienne gon' be there and she'll probaly be up.
Melissa: Aww. Is she going to the B2K concert wit us?
Elice: Yea.
Kip: Is she cool? Cuz you know don't wanna to beat somebody down on this trip.
(^Kipeni is known to get into a lot fights^)
(Elice is thinking in her head bitch, you ain't gon' touch my cousin)
Elice: (looking at her crazy) Gurl first off my cousin is cool. And second you bet not get in no fights anyway. You know what your mama said-If you get into some shit she gon' come pick your ass up.
Kip: Gurl, I am not studin' my mama.
Shy: You might as well not even go on this trip. Cuz you already know you gon' get in some shit.
Kip: Whateva. But anyways lets go back to the list.
Melissa: Ok. So we gon' sleep and then we wake up...
(Elice interupts)
Elice: Everybody should be up tweleve.
Melissa: (writing) Ok.
(They continue to plan the trip....)
