His arms wrap around her small form, guilt starting to wash over him. He strokes her back gently, trying to provide some kind of soothing or comfort to her. He shifts so that they're forced into a sitting position, his back leant against the bare wall for support. Her tears, each and every one of them, bring stabs of pain and guilt. Why had he let himself do that? "Shhhh.... whatcha mean? Or don'tcha wanna talk 'bout it?" He speaks softly, trying to keep the edge of pain out of his voice. His dark orbs remain on her tear-stained face, but one hand drops to the floor beside the ancient mattress, groping for a dirty blanket with which to provide the girl some shred of dignity. Finally his fingers close around soft cloth, and he wraps it about her thin shoulders, concealing her adequately and pulling her close to him again. "If you wanna talk, I promise I won't tell anyone..." He offers, sincerely.
