he sat on the porch, the pig snoring by his side. He hadn't been able to sleep, Skys idea was turning over and over in his mind, refusing to let him rest. He had been tempted to scoop her up right then and there and take her up to his room and keep her there for hours, but instead he had backed away, giving her some time to think it over. He remembered how unhappy she had been the first time she'd realized she was pregnant, and he didn't want that to happen this time around. The image of her naked and in his bed was very vivid in his mind, and making it very hard for him to stick to his word of giving her a few days. He sighed, shaking his head gently, it was going to be a rough few days

It was pretty late into the night but she hadn't been able to sleep either so she had slipped down to the barn to be with her horses for a little while. Loki was pawing and restless so she slipped on his halter and clipped on a lead rope, walking him around the yard and talking quietly to him. For being a stallion he was very gentle and calm - of course he got hyper sometimes but that was expected. After a while she left the pasture and walked him through the yard - planning to just go around the house before she saw him and paused - the large stallion snorting his displeasure as they stopped their walk. "Yeah...." she sighed softly, tilting her head to the side to gaze at him briefly. "Told you I didn't sleep well anymore." She sighed softly, quiet for a long moment before she shifted to lay her head on his shoulder, gazing past the porch to the stars in the horizon. "I can't believe Sam is going to school already..." "Yeah...want me to come out and help you?" She had loved their early mornings in the barn - hearing the horses munch on the hay...hugging and kissing him randomly throughout getting the animals ready for the day - a few times they had even taken breaks up into the hayloft and made love there on the blanket that was always stored in one of the cabinets.
