In reply to: Heather 's message, "Re: Finally...an address for Kate" on August 08, 03:36:pm GMT-5

It took about a week and a half to find an address where I'd find any confirmation that the letter would get to her. Basically, I searched five or six different search engines for her name, with and without that little whatchamacallit over the e. I came up with:

A review of Kate in Tennessee Williams' Small Craft Warnings,

Something called "A Dinner Date with Kate Duchene" that I can't seem to get a subscription to,

some miscellaneous Worst Witch articles and a few reviews of things she did in the RSC,

and this:

A review of Iphigenia at Aulis that she just finished a few months ago in Ireland, of all places.

So I e-mailed around, and I ended up with a letter from ITV saying to send it to the producers, a letter from the RSC saying they couldn't help since Kate hasn't been there in a few years, and finally today a letter from a nice woman at the Abbey saying this:

Dear Minnie,
I am afraid that we do not provide home addresses for any actors who work at
this theatre, but feel free to write to Kate c/o The Abbey Theatre, 26 Lower
Abbey Street, Dublin 1 and we will forward your letter by mail.

I hope this is of some assistance.

Yours sincerely,

Marie Kelly

So that's lovely; I didn't want her home address anyway. Once I get my new mailbox set up at university, I'm going to write. Hopefully I'll at least get a publicity shot or something.

On a side note...Green Fingers and Thumbs was on today, at least where I live. Anyone have any idea how much of that hair is actually Kate's and how much is extentions or something?
