From far above, soaring about upon silent wings, a unipeg stallion watched the ordeal with the humans and the horses. He knew this was a bad thing, and even worse that Sundance was about to be taken by one of them. But what could he do? He knew the human race was intellegent with technology, for he had, in a sense, studied them before, and knew they could easily take all these wild horses into their custody and do what they wished with them.
A shudder ran down Hesperos' spine as the thought burned into his mind and boiled his blood. Now that Sundance's identity was spread across the humans, there was no doubt in the unipeg stallion's mind that more would return, hoping to find more of these mythical animals.
This is why Hesperos hesitated to do anything. People would be spilling in daily if he showed himself in front of these humans. If they could find a unicorn and a unipeg, then God knows what else could be on that island!
Hesperos' eyes narrowed as he thought and continued to hover about, keeping well out of the humans' line of vision.
"What should I do?" he said quietly, perhaps asking help from the Forest Spirit.
