Toney: Okay, everybody ready, glasses up. This is a toast to a wonderful job in Venice Beach. In one 2 hour period, we made 10,000 bucks, we got local television attention and we pleased our fans. I thank you all. Cheers!!
Toney sits back down and looks over the balance sheet and the Los Angeles Times Calendar section. Its just a small story on page 4 of the paper but the title says it all, "Blood, Sweat, Tears and a Little Black Magic brings Attention to WCWL"
Doc: Things look good, JT, real good. We had 10,000 people there and over 6,000 paid for ringside seats. They seem to love to hate Sticky Fingaz. And the heat between Travis Anderson and Ken Shamrock was great.
Toney: Yeah, but it was the end of the show that everyone will remember. That Baron Lundi is a genius. Two shows, he has yet to wrestle and already he is the most talked about guy on the roster. That is charisma.
Doc: But, something about him bothers me. I don't like him. And he is a wanted man, after all.
Toney: Not anymore, he's not. They found out it was a couple high school kids in Bakersfield trying to recreate an Alien Abduction. Police caught them in their daddy's farm with dead animals talking about how to make crop circles without leaving a trail. So Baron is no longer wanted by the police.
Doc: But what about the rain and the lightning and the chanting. He is dangerous.
Toney: He's a magician. And a good one at that, but I assure you its all smoke and mirrors. The true test of a good magician isn't how many tricks he knows but how good he is at convincing you that you are seeing what you possibly can't be seeing. Lundi is obviously one of the best.
Doc: But still...
Toney: But still nothing. Trust me on this Doc, I have this guy under control. Nothing to worry about. Besides, if he becomes too big for his britches, we just start working Bret, Kris or the Stickman. We are definitely not a 1 superstar league.
Doc: But Baron Lundi says its his destiny to control WCWL.
Toney: Destiny? There is no destiny here. I am sign the checks, I make the decisions. If there is any destiny in WCWL its name is Jason Toney.
Toney goes to take a sip from the champagne glass. He then starts to spit it out. There's dust mixed in with the champagne.
Toney: Well, I'll be damned. How did sand get in my glass? Must be from the beach. Heh, heh.
