in de kerk
zwijg ik
wanneer er in een liedje
'vader' wordt gezegd
tegen God

je kunt het moeilijk vatten
en dat begrijp ik wel; maar
waarom wil je toch dat ik
zijn hart leer begrijpen
waarom langs deze weg?

als je het niet snappen kunt
waarom probeer je dan niet om eens
'dader' te zingen
op elke plaats waar mijn stil-zijn klinkt?

ook al weet je niet hoe het voelde
wat ik in het duistere donker verdroeg -
misschien helpt het je wel te zien
waarom jouw woorden, zo vol oprechte goede bedoeling,
mij toch juist verder weg brengen van zijn hart
in plaats van dichterbij
