In another thread, I recently unleashed the good news that the official Fold Zandura site would soon be resurrected; well, tonight (er... this morning) I bring you the first officially official piece of this new site, along with the scoop on what exactly has been going on behind the scenes.
What it boils down to, basically, is that Joey no longer has the time and/or resources to devote to the FoldZan site, so we've worked it out that I will take it over and hopefully have a new site up in a month or two. I know this seems like a sudden and unexpected shift - most of you probably don't remember me from the old forums (I didn't post much, though I read often) - but I can assure you that I will work my tail off to create an online monument worthy of Fold Zandura and Mortal. And if you doubt my experience or qualifications, feel free to browse my personal portfolio site at www.lucidorum.com (and check out the official Tourniquet site, which I also have the pleasure of maintaining, at www.tourniquet.net).
But now ON TO THE POINT...

The domain name foldzandura.com is now up and running again! All that's there right now is a brief explanation of what's going on and links to the new forums (and also to each of the band members' other projects, and a link to this site!), but I wanted to let you all know about it anyway (especially the forums, which, as you'll see, are AWESOME - you get your own image gallery, journal, trade/sell lists, and lots more... there's even a free arcade, haha). I'm really hoping we can start rebuilding a solid Fold Zandura / Mortal online community - I think there's plenty to talk about, even if the band isn't turning out new stuff now (and even if they never do again - but let's keep our fingers crossed on that one).
So check out www.foldzandura.com now, and hop on over to the forums (more specifically, I have a more detailed explanation of the state of things in the forums themselves, in the following post... http://www.firestream.net/viewtopic.php?t=7073 ).
Alright, have at it! I know we FZ fans have been slow at checking this online stuff lately (so people might not even read this post for... who knows how long!), but we'll find ways to make it more motivating on the new forums, now that there's news about the site and what not.

(oh, and I know the last official URL was foldzan.com and that foldzandura.com hasn't been used in years, but... there might be trouble getting foldzan.com back, as it seems that it very recently expired and was picked up by a cyber-squatter... but I'll have to talk to Joey about that and see what he knows, as he's supposed to be taking care of that part. Either way, we'll still have foldzandura.com, so... enjoy!)
