It was not her dragon, for Talon was resting now up on the shore, and Nakiah had seen the last of his shimmering scales as she was pulled violently under the water. She tried to scream but all that issued from her were large bubbles. She didn't know what to do, for she had left her sword up on the bank with Talon. Hopefully someone had seen her disappear before it was too late, because the monster that had so suddenly taken her was gripping tighter onto her and was pulling her further and further into the depths of the lake that the waterfalls all flowed into.
