I can't remember whose talk show it was... I just remember the "three year contract" talk vividly, because I was thrilled! Back then I would arrange my schedule around QL. (This was before I had a VCR.) When I heard SB was going to be on I made sure to stay up. Then he mentioned the contract & I about died! Then a few months later he was gone.
I guess NBC could've given everyone a very generous bonus or something to stave off legal problems with a contract... Who knows?
I hope someone comes to my rescue with this... I'd hate to think I'm going senile at my young age!
