Folks,

Just found in http://www.hkultraline.com a news clip about IEEE is going to reduce the top speed of the 802.11g draft specifications from around 54 Mbps down to around 20 Mbps. According to the clip the change owes to some problem in backward compatibility towards existing 802.11b devices. The problems were mentioned to affect simultaneous 802.11b & 802.11g operation.
