Hudson's defense shut down Gyles in the first half, while Ayer gave up the ball for two crucial turnovers that led to scores. Hudson ran back the opening second half kickoff for a score, and had a long run from scrimmage for a score on their first play after getting the ball back. Ayer wasn't out of it with the score 35-14 halfway thru the third, both teams traded scores in the fourth for the final. Gyles got most of his yardage in the second half when he had the chance to run more, otherwise, Hudson's D kept him in check.
