My first 3 Boerboels were a crap shoot as I had them shipped from SA and there was no guarantee of temperment. I lucked out with the first two, but have to say someone who was new to the breed got the brother of my first female....and the dog had to be put down because he was out of control. What I'm trying to say is these dogs need work, obedience, control, and leadership.

My current Boerboel is exactly what I requested/wanted and more. I just need more time to develop him into the family protection dog I want ;) It's gonna take some time, work and lots of patience! A stubborn, driven, 150lb adolescent is a handful :)

Your right the same breed produces different temperments, the same litter produces different temperments....you just have to find a breeder you trust and respect to pick the right pup for you.

I would suggest you spend some time talking with Mr David Harris.
