I just have a few questions. Not to start another batch of bs and arguments but after reading thru this I'm left stumped.

I do remember reading and watching videos of Akiva and all the high praises she got when she first started training, was she agressive or weak nerved before the training started or after?

Also, I have several dogs with John and Davids dogs and to be honest none of them have ever had a temperament issue. Only flaw i ever saw was Faiths first show, she was attacked by a leonberger and was very nervous of the area when we'd pass it and jumpy that day. I couldn't blame or fault her for that, it scared the dickens out of me and I shoulda tore into the other dogs owners for allowing their dogs to get away with such behavior. She was very young at that time.
Now, after showing her that its ok, she's awesome.

As for Gordo, alot of intresting information going on there. Personally I would never breed to a dog that had demo, be it localized or generalized. I had a very young puppy with severe head trama and facial bone fractures come up with a smaller than dime size spot. I spayed her immediately. Why, because even tho she was very very sick and injured apparently her immune system failed enough to allow that to present. I do skin test all of my dogs when there is any sign of a bump or raw patch. Its called responsibility.

I do have to agree that working and training the dogs is awsome. However, each dog trains diffrently and I've seen many dogs ruined by the wrong training methods. A good base and start to socializing and training is where it begins. You mold the dog into what it is. However, their natural drives and temperament will be there as well.
