John, I don't care for the BARF way of feeding because it contains fruits & veggies & supplements which are not necessary in a carnivore's diet. A properly fed prey model diet does not need supplementation or added things a carnivore wouldn't normally eat. Also, the BARF diet is very bone heavy and dogs truly don't need that much bone--it can cause issues.

I've been feeding my two Boerboels prey model raw since January. I did try the BARF way about 2 years ago and gave up because I found it time consuming and complicated. With prey model they get 80% muscle meat 10% organs and 10% bone.

Here's a good site that describes the differences between prey model and raw (at the bottom of the page you can click on the HOME to access the whole site which is very informative): http://www.rawfed.com/myths/preymodel.html
There's also some good yahoo groups for raw feeding dogs: http://pets.groups.yahoo.com/group/rawk9s/
