As for the Canis Panther, I found this to be more amusing than anything.
I have never seen one of these dogs work so I am not sure how well they perform in protection. (Perhaps someone knows more about them than I do, and if so, please enlighten me).
I find it interesting that the Doberman, although originally bred for protection, has been thoroughly watered down with pet-quality dogs and is no longer sought after for its ability to do what, over 100yrs ago it could easily do.
The same goes with the Great Dane! Highly watered down to a point of lazy, most often genetically unhealthy lap dogs.

Then they threw in the Labrador?!?!? Okay...I'm confused now.

Staffordshire Terriers, okay, I could see this breed somewhere. Although like the APBT, they are bred to be human submissive, they do throw in some great muscle, drive and tenacity and can be a great addition in a new breed creation.

All together, it's just interesting. The Canis Panther sounds like someone's idea of what the majority of society would find intimidating. People still cringe at Dobies, Danes, Pit-types, and such, I just think the actual result may not work out as well as say, the Bandogs of Chimera Kennels do. (*wink* *wink* Chimera Kennels)

Then again, I admit to not ever seeing results of the Canis Panther and they very likely could have found decent stock to start with. I know there are still Dobies and Danes and even some Labs that would eat me for lunch.
JMO
