Subject: Dan, I haven't used the boerboel. But...the variation in the breed vs a line is two seperate issues.

I don't breed boerboels...but a performance oriented breeder of boerboels might have a consistent line even if the breed is not consistent amoung the breeders as a whole. You can't blame 1 good breeder for the mistakes made by others that have a call their dogs by the same name. A good breeder with a consistent line may wish to add a trait to their line. And, they may not find that trait from other "boerboel" breeders.

If you don't know how to add a trait into a line and still keep consistency, then either go back and read my tips...or go try it for yourself and see what works. If you want to stand in front of one of my dogs some day, you're welcome to. Their abilities speak or themselves.
