Spot on !

But " how much heterosis can we stand " chuckle.

Go Jemima !!

Norman you remember her from the Can-gen board ? That's her narrating, she's a film maker.

Excellent little documentary. I do think educating the public is probably a better long term fix than regulating the breed clubs; although the film certainly takes a large bite of both.

And one could just as soon view all those twisted little creatures as some sort of sad projection of human frailty, stupidity, greed... or lonelyness. Have a good look at the humans at the shows... do they look like prime examples of natural selection ?

And at one point does the dog buying public share the burden of blame ? Not defending the breeders per say, or the show ring.... but people buy these sorry animals for what ? So they can love something ? But not just anything...nooo, a pure bred with a "look". Or, getting closer to home, they buy them because they can get another one and sell some themselves.

So.... I guess us boerboel breeders will probably not get tooooo indignant about it will we ?

What's the number JB, a guy with a iife time of dog experience and knowledge, says he had to cull out of S. Africa 23 out of 26 or some such, that he picked ?? Whatever the rate...

Conversation over really... does one save or "clean up " a "breed " that far gone ?

Andrew J
