Paulina , go back a few steps & teach the dog to catch the treats, first , then have the dog sit in front of you , holding the treat just above his mouth drop it , as this progresses, increase the height of the drop from your hand close to your mouth . When doing this from the sit/ heel psition , show the food coming fromn your eyes , straight down the seam of your pants to the dogs mouth using your hands. The key here is to teach the dog that the food comes from your eyes . When this is 10% then you can think about dropping the food from your mouth in any of the positions.
