Hi! My husband and I recently took in a rescued dog from last chance ranch in Quakertown pa. apparently what we thought at the time (mastiff mix) was wrong! brother! I took Otis to the trainer cause he was getting aggressive - well, the trainer is also a judge in dog shows and she said " Honey thats no mastiff/pit bull that is a boerboel
and they are very expensive dogs!
I have to laugh cause Otis is my buddy - I lovehim with all of my heart! My trainer suggested letting her train him as an assistance dog for me cause I have ms. the only problem was that Otis lets NOBODY in our home! He loves us and only us! He did well in training with other dogs and the cats and children that would walk by him at the vets. But on our property he is a maniac to others!
We've given him for a month to the trainer who says he's doing very well and will be home next month. Poor Otis was skin and bones when he arrived here - lotsa food and love went into this guy - we don't want to loose him - I'm wondering if you have any suggestions for me.
