For some who dont know PP training.

For 11 yrs I bred and worked the most tilted AB working dogs in history

Did I EVER have a dog bite that was not "warned" before hand...NO

Did I ever have a puppy returned for being a terd, wouldn't work, weak, nervous temperment.....NO

In PP training there is a hold and bark....meaning they hold the intruder barking until his/her owner arrives, if the intruder MOVES then the dog will bite, the dog bites according to the THREAT of the situation, when the person stops moving or doing what they are doing the dog releases them and holds them with another bark. So an untrained Guard dog is a liability because they DO NOT know what is a threatening situation and what is not. IMO.....You do not make a dog do anything that is not in them anyhow. Another thing is PP trainig for some is a sport, my dog thinks it's fun, I am not beating him, hitting him and making him mean, he is having fun with it and most BB's I have found do not have prey drive to start them out as pups and have fun with it, they work thru defense and if you train thru that, making the dog pissed until it does bites then yes you may have an aggressive dog on your hands, but my goal is to produce and only have dogs that have it in them from pup on.

I am not saying that all Boerboels should be protection trained that are inm a breeding program, but what I AM saying is ALL Boerboels should pass a BST/ATTS test where they test if the dogs is friendly with strangers, not afraid of loud noises, test the nerves of the dog, and test if the dog WILL indead protect.
