Subject: Disturbing response to the soundtrack
In reply to: Jordan 's message, "Video of the next line meal" on 01:33:38 05/25/09 Mon

I've watched both these videos with distaste, but the most disturbing aspect was the reaction of my own youngest dogs to the soundtrack. They went into an immediately aggressive response and without a fast interception, there would have been a fight. Try it on your own dogs, but be ready to step in if you have more than one dog present. The sounds the pups are emitting are producing a deep instinctive provocation.
One of the other aspects is the dreadful accommodation with the pups standing on metal grills, not unlike battery chickens. Why is that? So that they don't have to be constantly cleaned but can spend time over their own stench? How does that affect their feet when they get trapped between the bars? There seems to be a huge anomaly going on here, on the one hand pretending that this gimmick is part of the natural rearing process of wild dogs (I've seen wild dogs feeding first hand and it is nothing like this, wild dog pups are fed and supervised by their mother, not left like something out of Lord of the Flies) and on the other, keeping them in a totally unnatural environment on metal grills in a confined space without freedom, fresh air or natural light. As far as I can see, these pups are getting the worst of both worlds.
