Simply put, you can't. There's no legal certification for this field. The best you can do is to go to school and advance through the field of psychology and attend one of the few schools in the country that offer graduate studies in the field of Parapsychology. A degree in that field is the only thing that you'll ever get that comes close to being a "Certified Ghost Hunter". But don't expect it to be all fun and games and running around looking for ghosts, because that's not what it's about. It plays a very small part in it, but, mostly you would study the field of abnormal psychology, do research and internship in places where they do investigations on psychic activities and so forth. Since this isn't the most respected or supported field of research in the world, things are not exactly as high tech or even well funded as they should be. It isn't a field you go into expecting to make a lot of money either. You do it because its something you have a burning desire to understand. Beyond that, the rewards are almost non-existant. Very few people will even believe what you say and if you do ever encounter something that's inexplicable to your training, well, good luck getting anyone with any kind of authority to back you up or look into it any further. So outside of this, you might run into some clubs or organizations that will have seminars and lectures and might offer some classes for which they'll give you a certificate for attending, but, it doesn't really mean anything. You could just print your own certificate on your computer, it'd be worth about the same. If you want to be a ghost hunter, go for it, you don't need any kind of certification. Just be careful. It isn't the spooks you have to watch out for, it's the crazy people you'll encounter along the way. :)

Regards,
-Scire
