I've also been looking for some reliable info on the haystack landing haunting. I live and have lived in Petaluma my whole life and I've never heard anything about haystack landing being haunted. I plan on researching past newspaper archives and such to see if I can find anything, but so far this story seems to be fabricated for the purpose of hyping up some blair witch type movie called "The Incident at Haystack Landing." the website for the movie is www.haystacklanding.com if you want to check it out. You'll notice a link on their site that says other hauntings or something like that. If you click it takes you to a list supposedly made by somebody that isn't related to the movie with the 30 most haunted places int he world. This list has haystack landing as the number 1 most haunted place in the world. My friend went into the house last night and somebody he was with said they saw a woman's shadown upstairs. I haven't been inside the house or done enough research on the area and it's history to say yet, but when I do i'll get back to you.
