No Mick,Rocco wont be coming inside, then,or ever.Rocco is wild now.I see him almost every day,the little trooper suvives everything, including the President Day blizzard.Mostly I see him with another squirrel his own size/age,and I am assuming/hoping she is his woman. There are four squirrels ( including Rocco) that inhabit my backyard and surrounding area, and I put enough food out to make sure they stick around.Rocco let me get close, but not close enough to touch him. That really hurt my feelings until I read recently that you shouldn't approach your squirrel after you release it, as the other squirrels may reject it for hanging with humans. So there I was trying to talk to him and all the while he was probably thinking " Aww, come on Mom, the other guys are going to make fun of me. "
As for Scout, believe *everything* you hear about Border Collies being the most intelligent dogs. This dog was outside potty trained within one week of getting him and once he learned he never slipped up.However, there have been several times when he either had the runs,or just couldn't hold it anymore(poop) cuz I was gone too long.Every friggin time, I came home and found poop on the bathroom floor right in front of the toilet.I have no doubt if he could have climbed up and balanced on the seat, that he would have, and probably flushed too.My plan is to seal off my second floor-bedroom,bathroom, and den.If things get to that point and they serve us up something really bad,it probably wouldn't matter anyway, heck I might just go outside and take a big deep breath !

KK,thinking how cute all the squirrels would look outfitted in miniature gas masks and bio suits :)

And what about
>Scout? Do you have a designated potty spot?
