I took up turkey hunting this year. Spring gobbler season opened Saturday before last. Its challenging because you have to call the gobbler in.

Anyways, it poured the opening morning. I had borrowed the Old Man's $1000 Beretta autoloading shotgun. After spending three soaking hours in the woods with no response to my calls, I surfed back to the quad and started to unload the Beretta. The action snapped shut on my right thumb, and now I have an ugly purple thumbnail.

The next day, Sunday, was gorgeous. We went on a quad ride. Shortly after getting up the woods, a large gobbler walked out in the path in front of me and stopped. I could immediately hear the laughter of my friends behind me. (You can't hunt on Sunday).

BD, another lesson in humility.
