Subject: UPDATE FROM THE COACH - PLEASE READ!

I hope you are all having a great Thanksgiving! Don�t worry about eating too many calories, we will work them off this week! LOL

I am thrilled to be working with such a group of great girls and I look forward to a very successful year with this team! 2001/2002 was a success for us, but I know this year will be even better! It is also important to remember that you can only participate in cheerleading if you are eligible in accordance to the Co-curricular Eligibility clause outlined on page 15 of your agenda! PLEASE keep your grades up, go to school and keep your behaviour in line! We will be enforcing this rule!

I wanted to update everyone on a few things prior to practice on Wednesday.

SPONSORSHIP:

Sponsorship cheques must be made out to: �National Foundation for Catholic Education�. I have finally found the perfect jacket and warm up pants!!!! We will now be getting a full outfit instead of just a jacket. We need to order these outfits as soon as possible to ensure we have them for Festival Of Lights!

COMPETITION TEAM:

We are thrilled to inform everyone that the competition team at the Festival Of Lights Cheerleading Competition on December 7 & 8 in Niagara Falls will consist of 19 cheerleaders on the floor doing the routine! See how important those subs are!!?? We may be pulling from the school team if we need to do so for this competition!

GYMNASTICS ENERGY:

We will now be doing 2 hours at the gym instead of only 1. The rate will be $10 for 2 hours instead of $6 for one hour. However, we have to have at least 10 girls, not including the regular Gymnastic Energy club members. You must confirm your attendance. Tumbling is important in cheerleading but it�s a great work out too!

CHEERING AT THE GAME:

This Thursday the junior boys are playing Lakeshore Catholic at our school. In case you don�t know our senior boys played the Lakeshore team last Thursday and it was not a great game or good experience. Our Junior Team is going into a really tough game and we need to be there to support and encourage them! If you cannot cheer on Thursday at 3:30 and you have a uniform, we are asking that you lend it to someone else so we can get as many girls out there as possible! Please bring your uniform with you at practice on Wednesday! The game starts at 3:30 and we will be having a practice after school before the game starts. Please encourage your friends to come out and cheer on the football team!
