Subject: The Need To Puke
In reply to: Tarak 's message, "Re: Swadhin is great and the website is gone" on 19:58:29 07/18/02 Thu

Sorry you need to puke Snori (or is is Schnorrer?) Anyway, whatever your name may be, thanks for sharing about your gastric distress. (We're you not in a "good consciousness"?)

Before the need to puke came up, I believe the discussion was about greatness. A good topic. Not that puking isn't a good topic as well, so don't be insulted or jump to the defensive.

But, truth to tell, rather than rehash a lot of stuff about reguritation, I feel that greatness inspires me a lot more.
Again, sorry, Snorer, if that is not your cup of chamomile tea (good for weak stomachs), but let me just throw in (hopefully, not up) a few brief thoughts about the real topic at hand.

As for myself, being great, not-so-great, or not-great-in-the-least, is totally meaninless to me. It's safe, I think to say that I am far less invested in greatness than you are in the topic that seems so very dear to your heart.

But I do want to say that to me greatness is always apparent and clearly manifest in people who speak from of a place of truth, integrity, openness, and who, for whatever reason, have no hang-ups or issues around using their actual (and not phony or made-up) names!

Yes, among others, I am thinking of and speaking of, my dear friends, Tarak and Subala. They're both "out there," free and open and above all and best of all, they speak the truth. I am in no way castigating the Snories or the Boreis of this (or any other) world. Or the Mumbai73s or Goddesses or anybody else either. It's just that who would you think would be more likely to speak the truth, someone who is willing to publish his or her name and phone #, and possibly his or her address as well, or someone who likes to scream and shout and knock him or her self out from behind some "handle" or moniker (not Lewinsky, Milo, no)?

As the goddess_seraswati hath said: "Think aout it." (I really can't do the capitalization, goddess_, sorry.

In my book Tarak is great and Subala is great. The greatest, in fact. There are many more (great ones) as well. Unfortunately, none of them are left in the good ol' SCC, speaking of wanting to puke. But that's another story, maybe for another day.

Snori, keep your stomach calm and get on with your life, assuming you have one. And if you DO have to puke, well, as you can imagine, I forgive you too. Just don't puke on your shrine, whatever you do! In that case, there just may be a victim (or two, who knows?) getting ready to take yet another incarnation. Not a pretty picture, to be sure.

Love and Blessings,

"Swami" Garyananda
(Oops, sorry, I mean Swadhin)
