“Now what!” Said Henry, frustrated. “We’ve messed up big time, we can’t go home, and I don’t even want to think of all the changes our actions have made to the digidestined destiny!”
They had run down the street, and were now in an ally a couple of blocks away.
“So what’s so wrong?” Said Rika. “All I’ve done is kill one measly digimon. I don’t even know why you guys even care.”
“You still don’t get it do you!” Henry exploded. “This is only the series to us, but to them, it’s their entire world at stake! We can’t mess up, because if we do, we could doom their entire world! I know you only think of digimon as data, but do you want to be responsible for all the people that could die if malomyotismon gets loose? What we have already done may cause that damage!”
Henry knew he was taking a long shot there, but, he reasoned it could well happen now.
“And, strong as Renamon is, she is not strong enough to take on Malomyotismon all by her self!”
“And, if you haven’t noticed, we are stuck here, and our only hope of getting home lies in the digital world. Which is currently a wreck until the Digidestined stop Ken. Something,” he added, “which may not happen now Yolie doesn’t have the digiegg of sincerity”
‘Rika looked causal, though inwardly she fumed. ‘He’s right. We have screwed up, and I’m not stupid enough to think Renamon could stand up to Malomyotismon, but’
“If you have all the Ideas, Einstein, how are you going to get us home!” she challenged Henry
“We have to fix the damage first”
Rika and Henry both turned to look at Takato
“No matter what we do, we have to fix it. Then we can go home.” He said, looking determined.
“It’s not right that their world is doomed because of us. We have to fix it” he repeated
“Hmph. A very good idea, gogglehead” said Rika “and How do you propose we do that?”
“Well, actually, I hadn’t thought that far ahead yet!” admitted Takato.
“Well, one things for sure” said Henry “we have to find another access port to the digital world, and soon. The only way home is through there.”


Back in the digital world, the Digimon emperor brooded over the data on the digimon those strange children had. The Terriermon was small and runty looking; none of its data would be any good for his creation. The Renamon, on the other hand, was a very strong rookie, and might be useful, especially if he could capture it in its champion form: Cubimons tail might make a valuable addition to the weapon he was creating. He was annoyed at the lack of data on the small, red, dinosaur digimon; all that could be told on it was that it was a rookie. He shrugged. It was worth capturing, if only as an oddity of the digital world. Maybe it was some kind of virus-mutated Agumon. No matter. Next time they were in the digital world, he thought evilly, he would capture their digimon as slaves, and then destroy those meddlesome kids once and for all.


In the real world, the Digidestined were preparing to return to the digital world to find the egg.
“Remember to stay alert” Davis was saying, for the hundredth time. “We have to look out not only for the digimon Emperor, but for these new kids too. If they show up again, we have to stop them and make them talk.”
“We heard it the first time Davis” said TK. “we know what to do. I’m interested in those different digivices they had. I wonder if they are another type of upgrade?”
“I’m more interested in those Upgrade cards” said Izzy. He had been waiting for them at the computer room. “I got an interesting demonstration of them yesterday, so Ill be going with you to see if they will show again. I believe their digivices and cards may be helpful in learning more about digimon and how they develop, and learn attacks.”
“They may also be helpful against the digimon emperor.”
“Not if they destroy digimon,” said Cody. “For all we know, they might be working for him!”
“I don’t think so Cody,” said Yolie. “The digimon emperor didn’t want any other human in the digital world: remember what a shock for him it was to find us there! He wouldn’t want anyone else in there, even to help him”
“Yolies right” said Kari. “ But we still don’t know that these others are friend or foe: that’s why we need to talk to them.”
“Even after they killed Digitamamon!” Cody spluttered “they can’t be friendly!”
“Maybe they don’t understand about the dark spirals yet” TK reasoned. “Digitamamon did attack them.”
That left an uncomfortable silence.
“Well, standing around here isn’t going to stop the Digimon Emperor,” said Davis “lets Go!” and before anyone could do anything but join him, he was off to the digital world.
