Subject: cedar shake roof maintenance

i have a house in lakeview heights with a cedar shake roof. the house was built in 2000. i have noticed some staples have released particularly on the peaks. do i need some maintenance? please advise.

Cedar shakes should be treated with a spray on preservative about every five years. The company I use also replaces any split shingles and fastens any loose ones at the same time. I'd get 2-3 estimates.
