Your gonna need a rope and harness. To bad you didn't have a super anchor installed on your roof. These are permanent eye hooks that are connected to a rafter during a roof installation with a roof flashing. I assume that you don't have one of these so your gonna need to have a long enough rope to tie to something on each side of the house while you do the opposite side. I wouldn't even think about doing it without a harness. I fully expect you to slip a few times if its a 10/12 pitch. You'll definitely need to pressure wash it first and that will probably be the worse situation for you because of how slick metal is when wet.
