No. You'll want jack rafters on the hips and probably a ridge beam would be good but the cross beams aren't needed on a small roof like this one.

I am building a 16'x8' pool house with 5' frontal
soffit on a 4-1 pitch. The sides and back will have
a 1' soffit.
Will I have to canilever the sides and fill in at
the corners on the ceiling joists, in order to set
the rafters and jacks?
Thanks for any advise. I have never built anything
with a hip roof.
