Subject: Similarities

Aside from the obvious more adult situations in the movie "Working Girl"... I wanted to point something out that I noticed.

For anyone who is familiar enough with "Ever After", you should watch "Working Girl" with that movie in mind.
You'll hear some familiar phrases, and some familiar similarities between certain characters.

The working girl comes from a sort of low class and she wants to improve her situation, to get promoted.
)
Daniel de Barbarac is a servant who gets promoted by marriage to Princess.

The working Girl movie:
The working girl borrows some clothes from her boss and she ends up meeting someone.
She masquerades as a higher positioned working girl than she actually is.
)
EverAfter movie:
Daniel borrows a dress from some quality woman and she ends up meeting someone.
She masquerades as a courtier.

Working Girl movie:
The working guy says "lets not give our names. We're just two human beings." Or something close to that.
)
EverAfter movie:
The Prince says "Please, I must know your name, any name." And finds class distinctions insufferable.
As far as pertains to him anyway.
But he went on a date with Daniel/Nicole, as "simply Henry"

The working Girl movie:
The working guy said that she wasn't like other girls.
)
EverAfter movie:
The Prince said that Daniel/Nicole was not like any other courtier.

Working Girl movie:
Somewhere in the story as they get to know one another better... there comes a time when the working girl says. "There is something I must tell you."

EverAfter movie:
As Daniel/Nicole and Prince Henry get to know one another, there comes a time when Daniel says. "I must tell you something."

Working Girl movie:
The working guy says. "What is it that you wanted to tell me?"

EverAfter movie:
The Prince says. "What is it that you wanted to tell me?"

Working Girl movie:
The working girl says. "It's not important."

EverAfter movie:
Daniel/Nicole likewise puts off telling him.

Working Girl movie:
The working guy says "I love you" first.
)
EverAfter movie:
The Prince says. "I no longer imagine my life alone." That's close.

The working Girl movie:
Her boss plans on using the working girls idea as her own, but then she's layed up with a cast on her leg and so the working girl pursues her own idea using her bosses office, equipment, etc. the boss finds out and confronts her. The working girl says to the working guy that she has come to love. "I can explain."
But the relationship is over.

EverAfter movie:
Daniels stepmother plans on her daughter marrying the Prince so she confronts Daniel when she came to tell the Prince the truth about herself. The stepmother blurts out the truth, hurting the Prince and Daniels relationship.
Daniel says to Prince Henry. "I can explain."

The working Girl movie:
The guy wants to know if all their relationship was part of the plan to get a promotion.

EverAfter movie:
The Prince assumed that Daniel was Nicole because she wanted the crown rather than him.

The working Girl movie:
The working guy decided that he wasn't going to go through getting the idea through without her, he didn't want to do without her period and together they toppled her scheming boss who lost her position.
)
EverAfter movie:
The Prince decided that he couldn't live life without the woman he loved, he took the blame for what happened and together they toppled Daniels scheming stepmother who lost her title of Baroness.

The working Girl movie:
The girl was promoted and got a nice office to work in. The guy and the girl stayed together.

EverAfter movie:
Daniel married the Prince and became Princess.

The working Girl movie:
The working girls boss says to her. "This is no fairytale." Or something close to that.

~ ~ ~

Watch it and see for yourself. It sure suprised me !!
