Unfortunately, as soon as the dogs sniff the carcass of the deceased boy, or even the dead body of hte facehugger, the stench of death, unnatural, overwhelms them. They would feel intense fear, despite any make of magical means. Adrian shakes his head.

"You can't track these things... We've already tried it. The bloodhounds we, in my time, used when we first encountered these Xenomorphs were slain and used for food by the creatures themselves. The hounds couldn't find anything, and I doubt that any hound you can create can rival that of a genetically-perfected tracker dog... The only way we can find the creatures is either by following a path of death, or letting it come to us..."
