Date Posted: 05:37:22 06/09/04 Wed Author Host/IP: 69.45.1.26 In reply to: Dana 's message, "Need everyone's prayers" on 01:33:30 06/06/04 Sun I just happened to look over at the track from the pits when I saw Brian's car getting sideways at about the 1000ft mark......it got over into the grass on the left side and went through one of the large round hay bales next to a pole. I'm not sure he actually hit the pole, but when he hit the hay bale dust went everywhere and I couldn't see if the car rolled or not, but after the dust cleared the car was still upright. I HEARD from other spectators that his steering wheel came off. I also Heard they had to cut the top off his car to get him out, and he was airlifted via helicopter to the hospital. We wish him well, hope to see him back soon !! Our thoughts and prayers go out to Brian & family, and kudo's to Wayne and the track workers for doin a fine job of emergency service !!
