The farrier walks over to Merry and clips her halter onto the crossties. She goes to the stock room where all the shoes were kept and comes back with four original metal horse shoes. She takes her hammer and lifts up all four of Merry's feet. She uses her tool to pull the shoes off, and then throws them into her bin. The farrier picks up the new shoes one at a time and some nails as well. She takes her hemmer again and nails the shoes onto Merry. She takes her trimmer and clips around the edges of the new shoes to make sure they fit well. She did that one all four feet of Merry and did the whole thing over again for Pippin.
