.:We cut from an advertisement to find a woman in a small white towel sitting at a dining room table, staring at the laptop in front of her. Her hair is matted from a shower, and falls to her shoulder blades. She sits in front of a wide window with a view of a city. The walls around her are a delicious cream, with a painting of a flowerbed hanging five feet from the floor. After two clicks of the mouse in her small gentle hand, she calls something out to a person we can’t see:.

Kristy: Jason, three sixty has already booked you for a match this Saturday. Have you heard of Jeff Davis or Ocean?

.:From a closed door a tall dark man enters the room. Steam flows slowly from the room this monster of man just exited, he too clad in nothing but a white bath towel around his waist. He has an intrigued look on his broad face, and moves towards the table. He glances at the screen for a second, then casually rests his strong rough hands on Kristy’s delicate shoulders. She looks away from the screen and to her husband, Jason, then smiles lightly, waiting for his reply:.

Jason: I think I’ve heard of Jeff Davis, but I can’t remember him at all.

.:He stands about 6’6, with a strong, athletic body, possibly weighing around 270 pounds. He reaches slowly for the mouse, and his powerful back muscles flex slightly. Jason clicks the mouse a few times himself, stands upright again:.

Jason: Check if they have spoke about our match yet can you?

.:He walks away from the table and into a modern looking silver and white kitchen. He pulls open a refrigerator, and grabs a carton of orange juice. He breaks the seal while making his way to a cupboard:.

Jason: You want a drink of orange juice hun?

.:Kristy murmurs as Jason grabs two glasses from the cupboard and fills them with the juice, before returning the orange juice to its place and readjusting his towel. He downs the glass in three mouthfuls, then takes the other and sits it on the table. Kristy is focused on reading a transcript on Oceans comments, and Jason begins to read as well:.

Jason: At least he is confident right?

.:Kristy laughs in one breath:.

Kristy: He just signed up to hun? It’s both your debut matches.

Jason: What about Jeff? How long has he been here for?

Kristy: Longer, but he was busted for possession. I think this is his first match too.

.:Jason chuckles in surprise, then pulls up a seat next to Kristy:.

Kristy: You feeling okay about this match? Ocean has wrestled in $W you know?

Jason: Okay. Well how much trouble can Jeff be? Sounds like he’s only here to entertain the fans with his smoking of illegal substance. How long did Ocean wrestle for $W?

Kristy: Not sure, but he says that he had a successful run there.

Jason: Yeh. Nah, should be fine. We’re on a level playing field. Jeff won’t be any trouble. Someone who’s stupid enough to smoke pot on television isn’t smart enough to win a triple threat. But I need more info on this Ocean character. He may be a different story. I’m going to get dressed and we can find out some more info on this guy.

.:Jason starts towards a closed door and pulls it open as Kristy gets out of the seat and makes her way into the room, dropping the towel just as she goes out of view:.

Kristy: Wear this Jase, I love this shirt on you.

Jason: Wee need to check out their bios, and read the full promo. What number match is it?

Kristy: It didn’t say whether or not the matches are in order on the card, but it was about third or fourth.

Jason: That’s good, I hate opening shows.

Kristy: We’ve been married for four years, I know by now you hate opening shows.

.:Jason walks out with a vertically striped button up shirt on, and a pair of jeans faded at the front. He takes Kristy’s seat as he pulls his hair back and puts it into a tail behind his head. Kristy throws on a pair of jeans and a black top, and combs her hair as she walks back to the table. She sits on his knee and Jason rests his forearm across her knee. The two begin reading and checking out promos. About fifteen minutes later Jason takes his hand from the mouse stands up. Kristy is now on the phone ordering a meal, and hangs up as Jason looks towards her:.

Jason: Jeff Davis is a complete reprobate, I really don’t know how people like this moron get contracts signed with wrestling companies like 360. Professional wrestling is losing what respect it has left when people like this are signed. What happened to the wrestling I grew up to? Now wrestling isn’t even the focus of this “sport”, but the wrestler’s lifestyles and attitudes.
I reach an international level of competition in 360, and by the time I get here, the company is overrun with gangsters, pot smokers and bloody polar bears.

.:Jason moves quickly to the fridge again and takes a drink out of a bottle of water, then looks out the window while mumbling angrily to himself:.

Kristy: Well isn’t that good motivation for you baby? You can bring some esteem back to the squared circle. Give the purists something to cheer for.

Jason: I won’t do anything for those miserable animals. They are what turned this company into the circus it is. This is what they wanted Kristy. They don’t want wrestlers anymore, they want fighters. And they don’t want wrestling anymore, they want crude behavior and sexy storylines.

.:He finishes the bottle of water quickly and throws the bottle into a bin nearby. Kristy pushes her body against his and smiles cheekily as Jason puts his arm over her shoulder:.

Kristy: Don’t work yourself up baby… Let’s go out for dinner tonight. I’ll cancel the room service, and we can go find a nice restaurant to celebrate your signing with 360, and your first match.

Jason: Yeh, I like that idea. Okay, let’s go.

.:Just as Jason finishes his sentence his cell phone rings. He grabs it off the table and sighs after reading the number. He puts the phone to his ear and speaks:.

Jason: Where and when Andy.

.:We can hear the voice faintly on the other end. It belongs to one of the writers at 360WE; Andy Hawkins:.

Andy: Oh, ahh, I was going to ask you to confirm a time and a meeting place Jason.

Jason: Kristy and I are about to leave for dinner. Do you know of any nice restaurants near the Crown motel?

Andy: Ahh, have you been to the on the corner of 51st and yours?

Jason: I’ll see you there Andy.

.:Jason ends the call as Andy continues speaking, and Jason puts the phone in his pocket:.

Jason: Shouldn’t we get changed into something more formal for this occasion?

* * * * *

.:It rains lightly as the taxi pulls up out the front of the restaurant. Jason climbs out of the taxi in a pair of black pants and a white long sleeve shirt, and holds Kristy’s hand as she gets out of the car as well. She is wearing a long cream dress, with her hair down, flowing and falling over her bare back like a stream in a rainforest. Jason walks in and takes a seat after being guided to his table by a waiter, and he pulls Kristy’s chair out for her before he sits down himself. The two eventually order their dinner and champagne before Kristy spots Andy wandering across the restaurant to their table. He carries a notepad with him as usual, and a small recorder. He is in a black pair of pants and a smart shirt, and greats Jason with a warm handshake:.

Andy: Good evening Jason, Kristy.

Jason: It’s good to be working with you again Andy. I’m happy that you have made it to this level of importance in the company.

Andy: Why, thank you very much.

Kristy: Would you like to sine with us tonight Andy?

.:He smiles excitedly at being asked to eat with them, but knows he has work that must be done:.

Andy: I’m very grateful for the offer Kristy, but I have articles to write tonight… I, kind of left it until the last minute again.

.:Kristy smiles knowingly at Andy, and Andy turns to Jason who sips lightly on his champagne:.

Andy: Jason, would you like to answer these few questions I have? Oh, and I was going to tape the conversation, is that okay?

Jason: Yes, Andy. It’s fine. Just don’t ask anything too obvious please.

Andy: Let’s start with your signing with 360 degrees wrestling. What made you chose this company to wrestle for, and why have you chosen to sign with them now?

Jason: Kristy and I had toured England for a year before coming back here for 360. We had just finished a six month long tour with a well-known company over there, and we were contacted by one of 360’s scouts after the final show. Although I loved wrestling in my home country for that year, I knew that the biggest opportunity for me was in the U.S., and although the scene over here is different to England’s, in a number of ways, this is where the money is, and this is where the exposure is.

Andy: So 360 was the first American company to offer you a contract?

Jason: This time around, yes. I have wrestled here before as you know, but after I was officially a free agent again, 360 snatched me up within days. I was just eager to wrestle internationally- and be based in America.

Andy: Your first match back in the U.S. is against two other men in a triple threat match-

.:Jason interrupts after he puts his glass back on the table:.

Jason: Can we please skip the ridiculous introductions and get to the question? Add all your flashy questions in your own time, I want to be finished with you before my meal is ready.

Andy: What do you think your chances are against Ocean and Jeff Davis?

Jason: I think they’re bloody good. Today before we made our way here I performed a little study on these two men, and neither showed me anything that was very impressive. Jeff Davis was more surprising than impressive with his idiotic antics, and Ocean done nothing but complain about being booked a week earlier than he wanted. Neither knows about me yet, and for their sake they should perform their own studies on me, because I’m not going to be in these two men’s shadows during this match. I’ll dictate the pace, and end it when I’m ready.
Both men are too foolish to understand how to wrestle triple threat matches smartly, Ocean is too cocky, and Davis is too, too stupid. Triple threat matches require a lot more strategy than a default one-on-one match. You need to know what your opponent is going to do before he does it, you need to know what you will do before it is time to do it, and you need to have your eyes on two men at once. This isn’t a kind of match you can go into with little to know knowledge of your opponent Andy, although these two idiots seem to think it is.

Andy: One more question Jason. If you are going to join the title chase here at three sixty, what title are you going to go after and why?

.:Jason smiles as he takes another small drink from his glass of champagne:.

Jason: You know what Andy? I have a title in mind, the Eternity Championship. And you want to know why eh?
Since I was a young boy I watched wrestling… from about the age of six I sat up in front of the television every Saturday night at the boarding school to watch some of the greats perform. They astounded me with their athleticism, they dumbfounded me with their insane bumps, and they excited me every time my favorite wrestler’s music begun. And you know one other thing that they done to me Andy old boy? They gained my utmost respect with their class and upright behavior. These things, and especially the latter, made me want to be a wrestler. These were the things that stirred the emotions in me, and made me dream of one day stepping through those ropes and wrestling one of the most historic matches of all time, like so many of my forgotten heroes did. So when I was given the chance, I made my dreams come true. I came to this country to make a name for myself, and become the man I used to love to watch when I was little, in a sport I loved to support. And my dream came true only a few days ago but since I was six years old sitting up in my pajamas, this industry changed, and now, when I find myself part of one of the biggest wrestling enterprises in the world, I find myself in a circus tent rather than a wrestling ring, sharing the spotlight with criminals rather than sporting gods. My dream, although achieved, is not achievable in the way I visualized anymore. So I want to change this company myself. I’m not going to do it with the fans; those filthy animals are what shaped this business into the disgusting pathetic excuse for a sport that it is. That’s why I’m going to make the Eternity championship my own, to try and bring some respect back to this business.

Andy: Okay, thank you very much Jason. Goodnight you two.

.:Andy stands from his seat, and shakes both Jason’s and Kristy’s hand. He leaves the restaurant knowing that he has a winning article in his recorder, even if it is from that arrogant old prick Jason:.
