*Recaps are shown from Vengeance. It was a big night as Chris Benoit made Stone Cold Steve Austin submit and in a huge shock Austin cost Rock his match with Eddie Guerrero! Also Ric Flair dispenced with Jeff Jarrett, Booker T beat Rob Van Dam to become the United States Champion and Kurt Angle managed to defeat WWE Undisputed Champion The Undertaker and Chris Jericho in a triple threat match! The huge news though is that Valerie Vargus seemingly helped Angle win and X-Rodd concented to it! Why? Who knows? Cue theme music.*
*J.R. and Tazz welcome us to the road to Summerslam where Kurt Angle will defend his title against the #1 contender. That spot did belong to Brock Lesnar who gaining his shot by winning the 2002 King of the Ring with impressive victories over Bubba Ray Dudley, Booker T, Test and Rob Van Dam but rumor has it that he wants to give it up because he wants his shot sooner on an upcoming RAW. We'll have more news on the subject as it developes*
*J.R. also says that tonight's main event was booked earlier today. The Rock and Booker T will be in tag team action against Stone Cold Steve Austin and Chris Jericho.... KURT ANGLE'S MUSIC HITS!!! The fans are on their feet! SmackDOWN! hasn't seen Angle in months! He struts to the ring in his new camoflauge tights with the Undisputed title around his waist.*
Angle: Kurt Angle is your Undisputed Champion, it's true it's true! And now I am officially back on SmackDOWN! But, down to business, I came here tonight to get some answers from your manager, Valerie Vargus...
*3... 2... 1... BOOM! Chris Jericho is now making his way to the ring. He stares Angle down. Angle puts his hand out for a good show of sportsmanship but Jericho slaps him in the face! Jericho is ready for a fight but Angle restrains himself.*
Jericho: You son of a bitch! How dare you use the title to win the title!
Angle: Yeah, I did what I had to do. And that's why I'm out here. I want to call out...
Valerie: ...me?
*The crowd boos as they notice that the SD! manager that they once loved but now hate due to her seemed relationship with RAW manager X-Rodd. She grins as she also has a mic.*
Valerie: Kurt, Chris, what's the problem? Angle has the title, he shouldn't be mad. Jericho... I'm not sure about you.
Jericho: What the hell are you talking about woman? I had that title won! X-Rodd told you to help me! And then you help Angle over here and Rodd and you are BOTH happy! I need an explanation damnit!
Valerie: You listen to me Chris. I am the manager and if you have a problem then...
*CRASH! Mick Foley's music hits as he contronts her on the stage while Jericho and Angle watch from the ring. Foley has a fire in his eyes. He's obviously boiling over the doublecross committed by Valerie.*
Foley: How dare you! How dare you use your powers like that. You have a smile on your face right now, don't you? You think you're hot stuff, don't you? Well guess what? You won't be. You won't be smiling again tonight and you won't be smiling at Summerslam. You see, I went to the head office that appointed you to SmackDOWN! and they've made a match at Summerslam. It's a special intergender, interbrand tag team match. You will be teaming with your buddy X-Rodd in a match against Vince McMahon himself and the woman that will be taking over as head of SmackDOWN! That's right! You're out!
Valerie: You son of a bitch! You can't do that--
Foley: I can and I did. I think it's time you met your Summerslam opponent, she is a former Cruiserweight Champion. She is DAFFNEY!!!
J.R.: Oh my God! The woman that made all of WCW turn and take notice has now ursurped Valerie Vargus! Unbelievable!
*Daffney comes out in a sparkling black and silver top along with tight black pants. She has a microphone in hands. Valerie approachs Daffney and prepares to take her down but Daffney shoves her down and begins to scream in the microphone!*
Daffney: Hello Valerie. And goodbye. Hit the bricks. All you have is a manager's liscense at best. I'm in charge now and at Summerslam you'll see why I am a forner Cruiserweight Champion.
*Her music cues to a loud pop as Foley and Daffeny leave to the back leaving Valerie on the ground and Angle and Jericho still searching for answers.*

Hardcore Championship
Raven (C) vs. Perry Saturn
*Perry comes out with Godfather and Faarooq.
(And this is where the short form takes over due to time constants.)
-Mike Awesome comes out and rewins the Hardcore title. He destroys Faarooq, Godfather, Raven and Perry Saturn.
-Rock and Austin are brawling backstage! Foley splits it up with a TON of other wrestlers and security restraining them. He makes Rock vs. Austin at Summerslam inside a Cage!
-Jeff Jarrett defeats Rikishi
-Christian and Chris Benoit have a ladder match to determine the #1 Contender to Booker T's U.S. title. Benoit wins after a ton of high spots. Booker is hilarious on commentary.
-Valerie has an interview backstage. She's steamed but she's also taking Daffney's words to heart. She can be a manager...
-Booker T defeats William Regal with his own brass knuckles to retain the U.S. title.
-Cameras find the WWE Champion Kurt Angle laid out backstage. All signs point to Jericho!
-Scott Hall defeats Rob Van Dam via interference by Leviathan.
-The main event is about to begin and it looks like The Rock will have to face Austin and Jericho in a handicap match!
-Stone Cold Steve Austin and Chris Jericho defeat The Rock and Booker T. Booker is subbed for Angle. During the match Valerie comes out and Jericho yells at her. She ignores him and stands her ground with Kurt Angle's title belt in hand! This time she runs in and looks to hit Jericho with it but instead crowns The Rock! Austin makes the pin! After the match Booker T gets a shot to the head as well and Jericho, Valerie and Ausitn raise each other's hands in victory!
