Heyz people. Irregardless of the audition results, I would love it for us to try Wei Qi... I'm re-writtened lots of stuffs and emailed the guitar pro files to you guys...

- Guorong, please check out the new drums pattern. Its exactly what I've shown you the other day at kallang. The patterns are all taken from a drum website, so should be alright... hehe. overall, there are 2 bass patterns.

- Weikai, the bass is simple and comes in only at first Chorus... take note of the solo. You have a small part.

- Ronghui... You have learnt the solo before... shouldn't be a problem... The second part have to coordinate with piano and bass, so cannot change

- Jinfeng... Your part comes in at the first Chorus. Basic pattern follows thru the song. Take note of the solo too.

- Yaocheng... watz laioz.. Ni Heng Handsome lehz!

I like the way it sounds in guitar pro, however, it may not be the same when we play it with real instruments.. so gonna have to try...

Thanks.

LOL... what pocky? poka-dot? Hehe...

Anyway, wanna acknowledge that although the drum patterns are pluck off from internet with slight modification, it may be abit tough on you as the majority of the song uses a pattern that, I believe, you have not played before.

B _ S B _ B S _

B = Bass Drum
S = Snare

The challenging part comes with the bridge where you have to use the low floor tom... however, if you inspect the beat closly, you should see that it's a combination of 2 very basic patterns... its the combining that's hard.

T _ _ T _ _ T _
B _ S _ B S _ S

T = Low Floor Tom

The basic hi hats are like that

H H H H H H O

H = Pedal Hi Hat
O = Open Hi Hat

Chorus uses ride cymbal

R R R R R R R R

R = Ride Cymbal..

That's the basic idea. However, throughout the song, where are several small unique playing details.
Thanks alot bro.

Hehe, just wanna let you know that I really do my homework loh... if not you go and say the stuffs I write is impossible to be played again. Hehe... This time, I really go to a drum website to learn one leh, play drum maybe I cannot, but theory I don't lose out ok, don't pray pray. =)

Weikai, heard the new version liaoz... hehe, it sounds much better! =)

I think the theory is right... if you have special effects, make them unique... using them through the whole song only makes them sound stale...

1) Sentences 3,4,7,8 of the chorus sounds much better because of the low-key notes played on 1,2,5,6. I especially like the trailing scale at the end of the chorus. =)

2) Coming in at the bridge (bar 22) is very good. Don't know why I didn't thought of that, hehe.

3) I'm abit worried about the solo part... bar 48 was initially left out to make the later variations (bar 56) special and immediately noticiable. Putting that may be distracting for the solo. However, on its own, it sound pretty nice. If we're gonna use it, maybe bar 56 have to be re-written... we'll try it out next session to see how.

4) There are some occassional high notes (bar 78). I don't know if it'll be distracting to the melody... again, we'll see how it sounds on real instruments next sessions.

5) Currently, the song ends after the second chorus. Which I do not want to. I'm looking for inspiration to lengthen the song. However, if the song really ends after the second chorus, you may wanna add a nice trailing licks for bass instead of the same scale (bar 95) which leads to the first chorus.

Thanks alot bro, for the effort. =)
