Ok, I'm a lil late in replying to this post but now that I actually have time to read through it all, Amy wishes to imput a word or two! (times a couple hundred)
First off, I definitely agree with Alvin that girls can suck. Sure, I'm a girl and I have no pride from holding me back when I admit that girls will have their moments when they can really mess a guy up. Some girls just have more of those moments than others. However, although it seems like I'm turning the tables now and putting the spotlight on boys, I still have to say that boys have those moments too.
First heartbreaks hurt. Second heartbreaks hurt. Third heartbreaks hurt. (catch my drift??) AND they will always continue to hurt from this time to the next. But that's how it goes. When we love, we let ourselves get vulnerable when we open our mind and heart to someone we learn to truly care for. If we're not careful, we listen to our heart more than our head and we skin our knees if we run too fast to make a move. And at the finish time -our projected hopes and expectations- is where we either fall forward and get a mouthful sand or where we mad dash triumphantly into the white ribboned marking finish line.
We learn from all of these painful experiences and sometimes we build a wall (longer and much thicker than the Great Wall of China) around us so that no one else can come within a gazillion mile radius. Boys can't say GIRLS definitely don't ever feel this way. Alvin knows I've felt this way. And girls can't say BOYS never feel this way. The truth is, we all do; boys and girls both share these emotions. Hec, we've all been screwed over. And if you have no idea what the !@#!@*# I'm talking about, well, I got 3 words for ya buddie, LUCKY-FOR-YOU!
Anyway, I forgot who said this in one of the posts, but YUP it's the 21st Century! But props to you girl, cuz we girls are definitely not afraid to hold your hands anymore (watch out boys, we're all grown and cootie-free! *wink*) It just depends on the person.. and what can I say? Some people are just *phukked* up like that.
In conclusion, the single life rules. =) "'nuff said".
