I am not real clear on what you want to do, Chuck, but MP3's will not play on a CD Player, since the CD Player is analog, and MP3's are digital.
However MP3's can be converted to WAV format, which is Analog, and Will play on any CD player.
Another reason is that MP3 is a condensed format, much in the way an author would condense a long book into a short story.
A CD player cannot take the short story and convert it to book form. (This is the easy way to explain it).
Take for instance, an MP3 file that is 2.5 megabytes. - The same file in WAV (Or Audio) format would be in excess of 25 megabytes.
There is however a way around this whole problem. - Several companies have begun to manufacture MP3 Players, which will play MP3 files as is. - This is what worries the Music Industry the most. (They don't want to furnish you with 50-60 hours of listening pleasure on a single CD, yet, I can do it Myself !).
