Subject: Champ Stage 1

This was the first time I have attended your feis, and I don't know if I will be back again. While I understand that having prelim and champ competitions on the same stage may have been your only option, it was not run very well. As a dancer in the 17 and over champ competition it was a very long day. The stage would have been done much quicker if the last two competitions had been held concurrently with competition 716OC like they were supposed to. I was quite disappointed to rush to get ready after the prelim competitions were moved (which was a good idea and I am not opposed to at all), only to be told that we were not dancing yet. There were 10 competitors in 716OC but only 6 in 718OC and 2 in the over 17 mens. Running the two oldest competitions concurrently did nothing to help speed up the completion of the stage. The only thing that it did do was make 8 dancers rush to change shoes between rounds. We were given no time to catch our breath between rounds, however the competition before us was held several times for one dancer. I know that this is not the only feis where small competitions have not been run concurrently, but this is the only one where we have been told it was, only to have it taken away.
