Wait...Go back to the Saiyan Saga. Remember when Piccolo tried to shoot Raditz with the special beam cannon and Raditz dodged it? What did Piccolo say? Piccolo said that for Raditz to have dodged his special beam cannon Raditz had to have been faster than the speed of light. Again Superman acknowledges that he is not this fast. Yet when Vegeta came to earth (whom we all know is much more powerful and faster than Raditz) Goku was holding his own against him which means that Goku himself far exceeded the speed of light. So lets go ahead and give the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe superman would have been stronger that Goku during the Vegeta saga. It wouldn't have mattered because Goku would have been so fast, there is no way superman would have even been able to keep up with him. And we know Goku even as a kid could tear apart steel. Superman is known as the man of steel. Now imagine a force powerful enough to tear through steel going faster then the speed of light. Goku going that fast, reguardless of how tough Superman's skin is, would have torn through Superman like a hot knife through butter.
