What I meant in my earlier post wasn't about "just saying no"...but about how easy it is after all the attention they get for a lot of these guys to really believe that they're worth all the hero worship they get, and the attention from all the girls. I'm just saying that some of them come to the team thinking that they are above all of that, and then stuff happens. As for the Ottawa team, you have to admit, it seems to be the same few names popping up all the time, as far as certain behaviour goes....doesn't mean all the guys are like that. And as for the girlfriends at home, these relationships, when they start, usually don't have anything to do with hockey, and I know the guys DO get tired of the girls only wanting to talk to them in the bars because they play for the team. The girls at home are a break from all that kind of crap, reminds them of back when their lives were "normal???" Whatever. For sure, alot of players have lost great girls because of the OHL life. Hey..wouldn't that make a great book?
