First of all, check the recycle bin ;-)

Well, if you haven't created any new files since these files disappeared there is a change of recovering your files.
You see, hard disk doesn't actually "delete" files from the hard disk in anyway. The files are just market as "not existing" when you delete them. So, when you create new files these files just overwrite old, deleted, not-existing files.

Sorry, but I don't know how to recover these fiels though.
I remember it might be able to be done under DOS, but I am not sure.
Seek for further computer assistance...
