Subject: Kreb Cycle?
In reply to: Michelle 's message, "Biology question" on 23:46:26 02/07/02 Thu

Do you just want the Kreb cycle, or do you want to add in glycolysis and oxidative phosphorolation?

If I remember correctly, for every turn of the Kreb cycle, you get 9 NADH, 1 FADH, and 1 ATP. That one ATP is controversial though. :S

For every NADH which goes through oxidative phosphorolation, you get 3 ATP. The NADH is of a lower energy level so you only get 2 ATP. From there on out it's just math.
