Subject: the one ture thing

I¡¦ve just watched the one true thing, and it makes me want to cry. The story is about a girl who understands a lot during the time her mother is dying. At last, she forgives her father who has had love affairs since she was little.

I remember the words her mother says before she decides to commit suicide. You now that you are getting older and older and the man sleeping besides you is no longer the person you knew before. But when you open your eyes in mornings, you smell coffee from the kitchen and your child is sitting there and is tiding her hair. Members of the family are closed because of this man. Her mother tells her that she knew every thing, more detail than her, about her father and has made concession these years. She says ones thought that they won¡¦t make concession of something, but when they grow old, they must make concession to maintain the relationships with the people they love.

At the last scene, her father tells her he loves his wife whom his one true thing is.
Suddenly, I was so touched by what he says. I think the girl will forgive her father, but the sadness is still in her heart and every thing he did is remembered.

The film was produced in 1988, 15 years ago but it is sill so touch. Man knows things by their experiences, more they experience, more they know. And, more they lose, more they don¡¦t trust again.

The one true thing
