Riverstar is born in the Mossflower Woods like her older sister at Camp Willow alongside the River Moss. Her parents are members of Skipper's ottercrew and at first Riverstar travelled with ottercrew all around Mossflower Woods and she even "took part" the battles, watching them aside with her mother. Eventually her parent brought her to Redwall Abbey, where she could join to company of other Dibbuns.
